Metaphor

My life is a fairly well-stocked library with all the books out of order. Now, this is a slight overstatement because there are several sections that you can navigate quickly and find what you are looking for, but upon close inspection you will notice that some of the spines may not be facing out, the bottoms aren’t all flush with the shelf, and there may be one or more that could use some repair. Some shelves have a layer of dust obscuring the titles. And some sections could use a fair amount of weeding, it is time to let go.

An unorganized library isn’t anything more than a storage unit for books.  It is my belief that if I just dedicated some time to this library it could be in tip top shape. Also it should be noted that this “metaphor” is also a fairly good description of my actual library at school. Hmph.
